This pendant necklace is made with a rose cut Ethiopian Welo Opal.
I have set the gem with a 22 karat gold bezel around the stone, 10 karat yellow gold behind it, 18 karat yellow gold accent and loops.
Oxidized sterling silver chain – 16 inch – with small lobster clasp.
Matte, textured finish combined with some shiny on the pendant.
This gemstone is so full of color and fire – it changes and flashes with movement. It is outrageously pretty.
The opal is natural and untreated, ethically sourced. It measured 8 mm square – a cushion cut gemstone that weighs 1.2 carats.
