This ring of boulder opal doublet is so amazingly beautiful! There is so much color and flash in the gemstone.
I have bezel set the boulder opal doublet with 22 karat gold around the stone, fine silver underneath and extending a little bit beyond, with a sterling silver ring band.
Matte finish.
The ring is Size 8 3/4.
This is a large cabochon – the opal doublet measures 18 mm x 13 mm and weighs 7.5 carats.
I really tried to photograph this stone so that you can see some of the flashes of color that happens within the stone but it is even better in real life.
This is a natural gemstone from Australia. All metals are reclaimed.
I am crazy for opals and this one is fantastic.
