A lot of people like to let the ring fade (looks great the whole time I think) and then when they feel like it, made it dark again.

You can “DIY” to restore the finish – I use liver of sulfur gel and some people use eggs – search engines have good tutorials – here’s some info:

It is a sulfur thing so it is Stinky! I always wear disposable gloves, chopsticks work well, and I like Original Blue Dawn to clean jewelry before hand.
